Chapter 872: Awakening

Heaven-Shaker · 第872章 苏醒

In the living room, an extremely frenzied scene was unfolding. Jiang Feng lunged forward like a madman, grabbing Qing Xiaoyue by the wrists, trying to subdue her.

Qing Xiaoyue's expression turned panicked. She hadn't expected Jiang Feng to be so bold, but inwardly she was utterly disappointed. She had thought she could find a reliable man, only to discover his true face was so ferocious. She couldn't help but feel relieved that her choice had been correct.

But then she realized she had overthought it. This demon was tearing at her skin like a madman, his disgusting lips starting to press against her cheek.

"This isn't good."

Suddenly, a faint voice sounded in their ears. Both of them froze. When Qing Xiaoyu saw Yang Tian standing up, she looked as if she had seen a ghost, even more terrified than before.

"He's awake!" Qing Xiaoyue felt her thoughts freeze. This man hadn't eaten or drunk for five days—note that it was because Qing Xiaoyue couldn't pry his mouth open to feed him—but his heart had been beating all along.

She had spent five days in turmoil. Now that he was awake, instead of feeling relieved, she felt a sense of panic. Who was this enigmatic man?

"Damn it, is this your man?" Jiang Feng saw a young man behind him and snarled, "Boy, kneel down now. I'm going to do her right in front of you."

Hearing this, Yang Tian was utterly stunned. His eyes widened. "You have that kind of fetish?"

"You bastard, stop your nonsense! Kneel down, kneel down, or I'll kill you!" Jiang Feng's face twisted with rage, his voice venomous. The flower he had been eyeing for so long had been plucked by someone else, and he was furious.

Yang Tian walked over step by step, his face dark, his eyes icy cold. The piercing chill made one's soul tremble, as if he were looking at a dead man.

The moment he glanced at him, Jiang Feng's whole body trembled. A chill rose from within him, as if he were being stared down by a beast, sending shivers down his spine.

"Get lost, get lost!" Jiang Feng let out a shrill roar, but his fear was unmistakably evident.

"Go to hell!" Qing Xiaoyue snapped back to reality. Wearing crystal shoes, she kicked straight at Jiang Feng's crotch.

"Ow..."

A miserable howl rang out. Jiang Feng doubled over like a shrimp, sweat pouring down his face, hands clutching his groin, nearly fainting.

Yang Tian's mouth twitched. That kick probably broke something.

Qing Xiaoyue was also startled. She hadn't expected to kick so hard. She quickly ran over to Yang Tian as if he were a savior, asking, "What now? Did I break it?"

"Qing Xiaoyue, I'll kill your whole family!" Jiang Feng, drenched in sweat, roared in fury. He lunged at her like a rabid wolf, claws outstretched.

Qing Xiaoyue's heart leaped with fear. She hid behind Yang Tian like a timid little woman.

Seeing the fist swinging toward him, Yang Tian shook his head slightly. He caught Jiang Feng's fist with his palm and said calmly, "If you don't want to die, get lost. I just got here and don't want to kill anyone."

At the word "kill," Jiang Feng felt a chill run through him, his teeth chattering. Though he told himself it wasn't real, a voice inside him insisted it was.

"Get lost!" Yang Tian barked, flicking his arm. Jiang Feng's body was flung seven or eight meters away.

"Ow..." As he hit the ground, Jiang Feng's bones cracked and popped. His whole body felt broken, agony unbearable.

"So ruthless!" Qing Xiaoyue shuddered. That throw alone could put Jiang Feng in the hospital.

He staggered to his feet, his eyes filled with terror. This man was a demon. If he had used a bit more force, he would have been dead.

"You..." At the door, Jiang Feng pointed at them, but when he met Yang Tian's gaze, he shuddered and swallowed the words stuck in his throat.

"He hit me! He actually hit me! He's dead! He's going to be in big trouble!" Jiang Feng roared inwardly in fury, but he still chose to flee.

The room fell silent. Qing Xiaoyue's head shrank back, and she stumbled backward. This man was too terrifying. How had she dared to stand so close to him?

Yang Tian rubbed his nose, his eyes scanning the room. His gaze fixed on the jade book and some rings on the table. After a glance, he walked over and picked up the jade pendant.

"Yun'er, since this is the birthplace of the Dao Sect, maybe I can find a way to save you." Clutching the pendant, Yang Tian put it away. He looked at his own strange clothes, then at Qing Xiaoyue's frightened expression.

Seeing Yang Tian scrutinizing her, Qing Xiaoyue tensed up. Biting her lip, she thought, "Why is he staring at me? Is he going to force me too?"

"Better go outside and take a look first." After a moment's hesitation, Yang Tian nodded slightly and turned to walk out the door.

Seeing Yang Tian leave, Qing Xiaoyue breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at the items on the table, then at his retreating figure, and mustered her courage: "Hey, are you leaving?"

Hearing this, Yang Tian nodded and smiled. "I have some things to attend to. Farewell."

"Farewell?" Qing Xiaoyue's face was full of bewilderment. Was this guy from ancient times?

Her lips moved slightly, and she said, "You don't want these things?"

"Consider it thanks for saving my life." Yang Tian walked out with a smile. These things were just trash to him.

"Giving them to me?" Qing Xiaoyue shook her head vigorously. She looked at the jade book—it was carved from top-grade jade. And he was giving it to her?

Qing Xiaoyue was dazed, utterly astonished. When she tried to refuse, she found Yang Tian had already left. She dashed out, but the corridor was empty. She was completely bewildered. How could he just leave?

"These things are so precious, and he really gave them to me?" Qing Xiaoyue frowned. She didn't know what the jade book was, but selling it would probably cause a huge stir.

Outside, Yang Tian wore a strange expression as he looked around at the towering buildings, the passersby, and the cars speeding along the road.

"This place is really strange." Yang Tian stroked his chin, his bewilderment deepening. Everyone here was a mortal, with not a trace of cultivation.

"The birthplace of the Dao Sect?" Yang Tian's head ached. After a moment's thought, he mused, "Maybe this is a city of mortals."

Yang Tian wandered around with great interest, fascinated by the people and things around him.

"Yanlong is probably asleep. I think I should first understand this world." Yang Tian stretched lazily, like a young man or woman out all night, and began to roam the bustling city.
