Chapter 0495: President Wu

Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第0495章 吴总

For Zhao Fusheng, he could understand normal invitations to dinner, but if it involved something else, he couldn't agree.

Unspoken rules have always targeted the weak; for the strong, those who have the ability to make rules don't need to care about unspoken rules.

"What's going on? You just arrived in Beijing, how did you get in touch with the vice president of Gree?" Zhao Fusheng looked at Dong Chenxi and asked indifferently.

Dong Chenxi gave a bitter smile: "We had been in contact before, and this time the other party proposed a meeting. Originally, I was supposed to accompany them, but since I had to see you, I let Sister Bai cover for me first."

Zhao Fusheng paused. On the surface, it was a normal procedure, but Dong Chenxi's expression just now was very strange. He subconsciously felt that this matter seemed not so simple, but thinking about it, it couldn't be too complicated. He smiled and said, "Let's go, I'll go take a look too."

Seeing this, Dong Chenxi could only sigh, nodded, and led Zhao Fusheng into the car.

When Zhao Fusheng got out of the car, he understood why he felt this matter was a bit odd. Because this was clearly a club, and especially after walking in, he noticed that there was a bar on the first floor, bustling with a large crowd of customers.

And as Dong Chenxi led the way, from the passing private rooms, people occasionally burst into laughter, both men and women. Zhao Fusheng frowned, glanced at Dong Chenxi whose expression was unnatural, sighed, and said nothing.

"President Wu."

Arriving at a room, Dong Chenxi pushed the door open and first greeted a man in a suit who looked about thirty-six or thirty-seven. Inside sat three people: President Wu, another person, and Bai Jie, whose face was slightly flushed.

Seeing Dong Chenxi and Zhao Fusheng enter, President Wu waved slightly: "Xiao Dong, come, sit next to me."

Zhao Fusheng frowned. He could tell that this guy had clearly drunk quite a bit and was already in a drunken state.

Seeing Zhao Fusheng, President Wu frowned, glanced at him casually, then turned his attention to Dong Chenxi, clearly focusing entirely on her.

Even an idiot would understand what was going on from the other party's demeanor, let alone Zhao Fusheng, who was no fool. By now, he had already figured out most of it.

Sitting aside without changing his expression, Zhao Fusheng pondered how to resolve this matter.

"Truly each has their own merits. The first time I saw Miss Dong and Miss Bai, I felt that your Future Advertising is truly remarkable," President Wu said with a smile, reeking of alcohol.

Dong Chenxi frowned slightly and sat down a little farther from President Wu without changing her expression.

Bai Jie smiled and took over the conversation, saying, "Thank you for the compliment, President Wu. Sister Xiao Dong and I are mainly responsible for this matter. If you have any requirements for the advertising plan, you can tell me, and we at Future Advertising will do our best to achieve them."

Zhao Fusheng struggled to suppress a laugh from the side. When Bai Jie took over the conversation, President Wu was clearly displeased, but perhaps embarrassed to reveal his intentions, he didn't lose his temper on the spot.

He let out a few dry laughs as a perfunctory response, then President Wu turned his head and smiled at Dong Chenxi: "Miss Dong looks very young. How old are you this year?"

Dong Chenxi replied: "I'm twenty-two."

President Wu's eyes nearly disappeared as he smiled, clapping his hands and saying: "Twenty-two? I really can't tell; I thought you were only eighteen. Truly the most beautiful age."

Zhao Fusheng bit his lip hard to keep from laughing.

It wasn't that he was cold-blooded; it was just that this scene was unbearably cliché. This was his first time encountering such a situation, but when he tried to whisper something to Dong Chenxi, he found her face full of embarrassment and concealed anger as she slowly withdrew her smile.

Perhaps he had taken this too lightly, underestimating its seriousness?

Before Zhao Fusheng could think further, President Wu finally turned his attention to the advertising plan, but the words he spoke were directed at Dong Chenxi: "Miss Dong, I hear that Future Advertising has recently planned a series of highly influential ads. That mysterious advertising planner, the one called the Midas Touch—is he the pillar of your company?"

Zhao Fusheng had become quite famous in the advertising circle. As Zheng Yao said, the more he kept to a mysterious path, the more advertisers flocked to him. After all, no one thought their product was inferior to others; why should someone else's product boost sales with an ad while theirs couldn't?

"Yes, President Wu. Lucifer is our company's chief practical designer. If we secure your company's advertising campaign this time, he will personally design the plan," Dong Chenxi introduced to President Wu.

"Hmm, I see. Actually, this campaign could be entrusted to you, but your competitors are also very strong, and we're in a difficult position..." President Wu spoke in a bureaucratic tone, his gaze shifting back and forth between Dong Chenxi and Bai Jie.

Clearly, this guy had ulterior motives.

Zhao Fusheng frowned, cast a cold glance at President Wu, and as he saw the man's hand reaching toward Bai Jie's waist, he stood up, picked up his glass, and said: "President Wu, let me toast you."

President Wu paused, stopped his movement, and looked up at Zhao Fusheng: "You are?"

At first, he thought Zhao Fusheng was Dong Chenxi's assistant, a staff member of Future Advertising, but now it seemed that wasn't the case.

Hearing President Wu's question, Zhao Fusheng smiled slightly: "I'm from the Planning Department of Future Advertising. It's our first meeting; let me toast you."

President Wu hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "Ah, all right, let's have a drink, all of us together."

After they all downed a glass, Zhao Fusheng looked at President Wu and continued: "President Wu, I feel we're especially fated. You really remind me of a relative of mine."

"Oh, is that so?" President Wu put down his glass, originally intending to turn and continue talking to Bai Jie, but Zhao Fusheng kept him chatting, and his expression immediately darkened.

Bai Jie cast a glance at Dong Chenxi, her face turning hard to read, but she dared not say anything. They both knew Zhao Fusheng's position in the company all too well, so no matter what he did, the two of them could only watch helplessly.

Thus, they watched as Zhao Fusheng and President Wu rambled on there—or rather, Zhao Fusheng forcibly kept President Wu chatting, giving him no chance to harass Dong Chenxi or Bai Jie.

Unconsciously, President Wu's expression grew even darker...
