Chapter 0048: Future Advertising
Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第0048章 未来广告
Zhao Fusheng had no intention of interfering with Qin Wentao's choices, nor did he want to be influenced by others.
Seeming to sense that he didn't want to stay long, Zheng Yao said a few words and then, using the excuse of needing to return to school for business, dragged Zhao Fusheng out of the studio.
“What’s the deal with Bai Jie?” Zhao Fusheng asked Zheng Yao as they walked.
There was no helping it—the name was simply thunderous.
Zheng Yao was startled for a moment, then thought Zhao Fusheng was unhappy about her arranging Bai Jie to handle finances, since the studio was a partnership. She explained, “She’s my childhood friend, just returned from studying abroad. She has nothing to do, so I asked her to help manage the accounts.”
Zhao Fusheng nodded and didn’t dwell on the issue, instead bringing up other matters: “If there’s nothing much, I won’t come by in the future. If you find business, I’ll come then.”
He wasn’t good at management anyway; it was enough for him to handle advertising planning.
Zheng Yao wasn’t surprised. From the start, Zhao Fusheng had made it clear that he would only be responsible for the studio’s advertising planning, leaving management to her.
“Don’t worry, I’ve already contacted some companies. As long as the ad we’re working on makes a name for itself, the studio’s business will definitely get better and better,” Zheng Yao said confidently.
Zhao Fusheng smiled and then said, “Then I should tell you now: the Runshengyuan lozenge ad will make our studio famous. When you take orders, be strict—don’t accept just any random jobs. Also, we want to focus on quality. Ignore small-scale enterprises.”
“Is that appropriate?” Zheng Yao hesitated. After all, the studio was just starting out. According to Zhao Fusheng’s suggestion, they would have to turn down a lot of business.
Why would anyone refuse money that came knocking?
Seeing her expression, Zhao Fusheng smiled and asked, “Do you know what makes a successful person?”
Zheng Yao was bewildered.
“We in advertising cater to so-called successful people—those bosses. Since they’re advertising their products and want to expand their businesses, they’ve already mentally prepared to spend money. And what’s the psychology of successful consumers? A boss willing to spend a million on advertising doesn’t care about spending an extra half a million. They’re successful people; when they buy things, they buy the most expensive, the unique.”
“And what I provide them is exactly that kind of advertising plan.”
Zhao Fusheng spoke calmly, but his words plunged Zheng Yao into thought.
She had to admit that Zhao Fusheng’s words seemed absurd at first glance, but upon careful consideration, they made a lot of sense.
Why are luxury brands like Hermès and Dior considered fashion trends? The biggest reason is that these items have extremely high value, making people feel they are the best.
This is a flashy era; the monetary value largely determines an item’s preciousness.
“Alright, I agree with your opinion,” Zheng Yao said to Zhao Fusheng after a long while. She had to admit that Zhao Fusheng’s theory sounded absurd at first, but after thinking it over, it really was the case.
After all, for advertisers, what they care about is the effectiveness of the ad.
Zhao Fusheng’s expression was very calm. This theory had seemed ridiculous to everyone at first, but after practical testing, they found it really held true.
“By the way, the studio needs to be registered. I plan to use the name ‘Future Advertising.’ What do you think?” Zheng Yao suddenly remembered something and said to Zhao Fusheng.
Zhao Fusheng was taken aback, then laughed: “That’s a good name, pretty nice.”
“Of course, don’t you see who came up with it?” Zheng Yao revealed a smug smile, clearly quite proud of her idea.
She wouldn’t tell Zhao Fusheng that she had racked her brains for over a week to come up with it.
“Alright then, I’ll head back first.” Zhao Fusheng didn’t say anything more to Zheng Yao and turned to go straight back to the dorm.
Watching his retreating figure, Zheng Yao opened her mouth but said nothing.
Actually, there was something she wanted to discuss with Zhao Fusheng.
…
…
Back in the dorm, Zhao Fusheng was met with three pairs of scrutinizing eyes.
“What’s up?”
Raising an eyebrow, Zhao Fusheng looked at his roommates curiously.
“How did your date with Mu Qingqing go?” Wen Yu asked with a grin.
“Yeah, yeah, I heard you two were strolling in front of the dorm?” Wang Zhen looked gossipy, clearly having heard something.
The two dorm buildings were in different districts, not far apart. A guy who was seeing his girlfriend off happened to see Zhao Fusheng and Mu Qingqing, mentioned it when he got back, and soon the news spread through the whole building.
Zhao Fusheng shook his head helplessly: “There’s really nothing between us. You can ask Old Tan.”
At that moment, Tan Kaixuan was quite cooperative and nodded, saying, “I can vouch for that. Old Zhao never pursued Mu Qingqing…”
“See?”
Zhao Fusheng shrugged, signaling to his roommates that the witness was here, so they couldn’t wrong him now.
Little did he know, he was celebrating too early.
Tan Kaixuan quietly stepped toward the dorm door, opened it, and then turned back to say, “I think Mu Qingqing was charmed by Old Zhao’s talent after those two poems he wrote, and she’s the one chasing him.”
With that, he bolted, moving as swiftly as a cheetah, leaving Zhao Fusheng, who grabbed a mop in fury, completely unable to retaliate.
“Hahahahaha!”
“Hahaha!”
Wen Yu and Wang Zhen laughed heartily. Recently, Zhao Fusheng had changed a lot—more mature, or perhaps more serious than before. Seeing him at a loss was a joy for them.
Looking at his unscrupulous roommates, Zhao Fusheng felt helpless. Didn’t these guys have any sympathy?
In truth, Wen Yu and Wang Zhen knew that there was probably nothing between Mu Qingqing and Zhao Fusheng; at most, she admired his talent. But such a fun thing was too good not to tease him about.
“By the way, Wen Yu, do you have a hometown buddy in the Computer Science department?” Zhao Fusheng thought for a moment and asked Wen Yu.
Wen Yu was taken aback and shook his head: “No, are you misremembering?”
“Ah, maybe.”
Hearing this answer, Zhao Fusheng smiled and said nothing more.
As he sat on the bed, he sighed inwardly—another person who had disappeared.
In his previous life, Wen Yu had a hometown buddy in the Computer Science department, a close friend he grew up with. Back in college, when Zhao Fusheng was bullied on the basketball court, that guy had brought people to help him out.
But now, that person was gone too.
Originally, Zhao Fusheng had thought of learning computer programming and web design from him, but now it seemed he would have to rely on himself.
