Chapter 0086: The Results Are Announced

Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第0086章 结果揭晓

After a hearty dinner at home, Zhao Fusheng took the bus back to his dormitory.

He didn't plan to get too involved in the supermarket matter; it wasn't a difficult problem anyway. As for the supermarket renovation, although his father didn't understand it, he intended to take a few old comrades to the provincial capital to have a look. Word had it that there was a large market there; after a tour, they should be able to learn most of what they needed.

Zhao Fusheng had no objections to this. His father had plenty of ideas, and he might just end up being a carefree rich second generation.

Zheng Yao had been in contact with some merchants in Ninghai City over the past few days, but the terms they offered were too poor. Not even Zheng Yao, let alone Zhao Fusheng, could muster any interest.

Most of Zhao Fusheng's attention was now on how to promote his website. Unbeknownst to him, there were only two days left until Fan Baobao was due to report to the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing.

More importantly, the results of the Brain Gold advertising bid were about to be announced.

"Hey, why are you dragging me along? I still have to meet an advertiser," Zheng Yao said impatiently to Zhao Fusheng.

She had things to do today, but Zhao Fusheng insisted she stay at the company, saying they had to wait for news from Beijing.

"What advertiser? Is there anything bigger than this?"

Zhao Fusheng smiled, picked up the teapot on Zheng Yao's desk, poured himself a cup, took a sip, and then froze: "This tea is pretty good. Where did it come from?"

"It was a gift to my dad from one of his students; I snagged some," Zheng Yao waved her hand. "That's not the point. The point is, why are you so sure that Zhu Yushi will choose our ad proposal?"

Zhao Fusheng looked at her seriously. "And why are you so sure he won't?"

Zheng Yao was momentarily stunned. She had always thought Zhao Fusheng's proposal was terrible and had no chance of being selected by Zhu Yushi.

But now, one sentence from Zhao Fusheng left her speechless.

Indeed, she wasn't Zhu Yushi, so how could she be certain that this proposal would definitely be rejected?

"Should I call and ask?"

Zheng Yao thought for a moment and said to Zhao Fusheng.

She meant to call Bai Jie and Qin Wentao to find out what was going on.

Zhao Fusheng nodded. "Go ahead. See what they say."

Despite his calm and confident demeanor as he reassured Zheng Yao, Zhao Fusheng was actually a bit nervous inside. After all, nothing was certain until it was settled.

There were too many 'what ifs' in this world; even Zhao Fusheng dared not jump to conclusions.

The call went through quickly. Zheng Yao spoke a few words and then handed the phone to Zhao Fusheng.

"What's the situation?" Zhao Fusheng asked.

On the other end, Bai Jie explained, "Word is that the Brain Gold review team is personally led by Zhu Yushi. The results haven't been officially announced yet. All the ad companies that bid are waiting here."

"Zhu Yushi is personally reviewing?" Zhao Fusheng frowned, then broke into a smile. "Alright, I understand. Just wait there."

With that, he hung up, a look of relief on his face.

If he remembered correctly, in his previous life, the Brain Gold ad was apparently cooked up by Zhu Yushi himself. Something so down-to-earth—if he wasn't satisfied with it, then Zhao Fusheng could only say that the Zhu Yushi he encountered in this life might not be the same person he saw in the news in his previous life.

"Well? Well?" Zheng Yao looked at Zhao Fusheng anxiously.

If before she had no hope and had only sent Bai Jie and Qin Wentao to make up the numbers, now, perhaps influenced by Zhao Fusheng, a tiny flame of hope had ignited in Zheng Yao's heart.

"I don't know. Wait for the call," Zhao Fusheng said slowly.

At that very moment, far away in the capital, Bai Jie and Qin Wentao sat there, staring nervously at the stage.

"Will it work?" Qin Wentao's face was filled with an emotion called nervousness as he lightly clutched his clothes.

Clearly, for him, this occasion was too grand. Or rather, as a college student, he had never experienced anything like this.

Bai Jie gave him a gentle look and said softly, "It's okay. You have to trust Zhao Fusheng."

As she spoke, she patted Qin Wentao's arm.

Qin Wentao nodded, looking at Bai Jie's lips, but in his mind, other romantic images surfaced. Just then, on the podium, a man in a suit walked up.

"Hello, fellow advertising professionals."

The man's opening was plain, with a professional smile on his face.

Beneath the podium, the heads of advertising companies from all over the country wore tense expressions. After all, this was a case that had stirred up many big names in the advertising world. In other words, they were no longer just competing for the right to produce an ad; they were competing for reputation.

"President Zhou, news from the headhunting company: the attempt to poach that person has failed," a subordinate whispered into the ear of a middle-aged man sitting in the front row.

"What happened?" The middle-aged man frowned and asked in a low voice.

"Not sure. I haven't received the specifics yet," the subordinate whispered.

"Forget it. Leave him alone for now. We at Perfect Advertising must win this ad. We absolutely cannot let Oriental Advertising succeed, understand?"

Not far from them, others were saying similar things.

"After multiple rounds of screening by our company and validation by numerous domestic advertising experts, we have decided to award the production of this advertisement to..."

The atmosphere in the venue instantly tensed. Everyone fell silent, holding their breath as they focused on the speaker.

Qin Wentao's hand unconsciously tightened around Bai Jie's. Their eyes were fixed on the man's face. Though they knew it was unlikely, they still prayed for a miracle.

In a flash, a dozen seconds later, as that name was announced, the entire venue was silent for a few seconds, then erupted like a boiling pot. A buzz of discussion arose, and everyone's gaze turned in one direction.

There, two stiff figures sat motionless.

At that moment, far away in Zheng Yao's office in Ninghai, a phone rang.
